My son has been bullied online. I don’t know what to do about it. There are not many minority families in our area, and it is tough for him. I am glad to read there are school programs. I am going to ask our school if they can start one.

My son (14) and daughter (15) both were shown pictures online of things their schoolmates were doing. I told them they couldn’t stand back and let this happen, so they decided to get a group of kids together to protest instead of just being witnesses to what was going on. What was really interesting was how the bullies denied and denied, but the activity slowly stopped. The point is that kids have to get more aggressive about fighting it. I think they’re scared that the bullying is going to bounce back on them. So it takes guts – and we have to encourage that in our kids.
