    I wouldn’t tell my kids anything about my past – it’s amazing I got through it in one piece. I think it would forever change their view of me, and I just couldn’t bear to do that to them. I think the voice of authority comes out better when it’s not sitting on top of feet of clay.

    An amazing article that had me and my husband thinking for days. We were hippies; we did all that stuff; we’ve never discussed it with our kids. But I think we probably have to... they are now 13 and 15. I don’t necessarily think lessons from our youth will sway our kids (they are both pretty opinionated) but maybe the topic will grab their attention. It will certainly make for an interesting dinner table conversation!
