My two kids tutor each other. Every day when they come home, my girl, 14, who’s good in math goes over that day’s math assignment with my son, 16, who’s good in English and vice versa. I think it’s been good for the two of them to work together like this –there seem to be fewer fights!

Tutoring is a terrific choice! Our sons have never been academically inclined, and this year (they are in 7 and 9th grades), we took them to a learning center. They weren’t that wild about it at first, but then our older child did really well on a social studies paper, and it sort of got both of them motivated. The money was well worth it!
