National Coalition for the Advancement of Drug-Free Athletics: The National Coalition for the Advancement of Drug-Free Athletics’ purpose is to support educational, charitable, and scientific organizations that utilize anti-drug education to teach the dangers and prevent the use of performance-enhancing drugs.
ATLAS: ATLAS is a program for male athletes to provide healthy sports nutrition and strength-training alternatives to the use of alcohol, illicit, and performance-enhancing drugs.
ATHENA: ATHENA is a program for female athletes that addresses the connection between young women in sports, disordered eating behaviors, and body- shaping drug use.
OnTrackNutrition: OnTrackNutrition provides nutrition and fitness consulting about every aspect of eating, exercising, and body image.
National Center for Drug Free Sport: The NationalCenter for Drug Free Sport provides sports drug testing. It offers a booklet titled “Can You Win Without Supplements? ”, an easy-to-read guide designed to give athletes facts about supplements.
United States Anti-Doping Agency: The United States Anti-Doping Agency is dedicated to preserving the well-being of Olympic sport, the integrity of competition, and ensuring the health of athletes. The USADA has a new web site, (“That’s Dope,” ), that provides teen athletes with training tips and nutritional knowledge for improving athletic performance.
American Dietetic Association: The American Dietetic Association is the nation’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, and promotes optimal nutrition, health, and well-being.
Something Fishy: Something Fishy is dedicated to raising awareness and providing support to people with eating disorders and their loved ones.
